What is the Newsfeed? What does it show?

  1. What is the Newsfeed feature in the driver app?

    The newsfeed is a notification feature that is located in the requests tab of the driver app.

    It is used to notify the driver:

    • when a change has been made to an upcoming transfer

    • when a cancellation has been made to an upcoming transfer

    • about any updates regarding the status of a new booking he created

    • about important events, e.g: when a new payment has been made to the driver

    The purpose of this feature is for Welcome to be more transparent in our communication with the driver about important transfer updates.

    Whenever a new update is presented in the Newsfeed, this will trigger a notification on the phone of the driver.

    The Newsfeed feature can be found in the "Requests tab" of the driver app by tapping on the small bell in the top right corner:

  3. What updates will be shown in the Newsfeed of the driver app?

    • When a new weekly/monthly payment has been made by Welcome to the driver:

    • When a transfer is removed from the driver's schedule due to a change performed by the traveler:

    • When a transfer is edited by the traveler but the transfer stays in the driver's schedule as the driver is available/able to do it with the new transfer details:

    • When a transfer is edited by the traveler and the system sends it back to the driver to re-accept the transfer with the new updated transfer details:

    • When a transfer is removed from the driver's schedule because it was canceled by the traveler more than 2 hours before the pickup time:

    • When a transfer was canceled by the traveler less than 2 hours before the pickup time and the driver will still be paid for the transfer:

    • When a transfer is removed from the driver's schedule because it was auto-canceled by the system (e.g: when there are unresolved auto-check errors)

    • When the driver booked a new (return) transfer for a traveler with cash/POS payment to the driver and it was added to the driver's schedule (in case the driver selected the "assign to me" option):

    • When the driver booked a new (return) transfer for a traveler and the payment link was sent to the customer:

    • When the traveler pays for the transfer that the driver booked for them and it is added to the driver's schedule (in case the driver selected the "assign to me" option):

    • When the driver has performed a change to the transfer via the driver app and the traveler has accepted or declined the changes:

    • When the driver has received 10 consecutive 5-star reviews:
