1. What is the Extra Rides Metric?

The Extra Rides Metric is a new performance indicator within the Driver Groups system. It tracks:

  • Any transfers you book for travelers.

  • Any transfers that travelers book themselves.

Important:
The transfer must be booked and operated within 10 days of the traveler's initial transfer.
This metric replaces the previous Leaderboard Return Rides metric and is now a key component of the Driver Groups system.

2. How is the Extra Rides Metric Calculated?

The Extra Rides Metric consists of two types of transfers:

  • Direct bookings: When you book a transfer for a traveler.

  • Indirect bookings: When a traveler books a transfer themselves after completing their initial transfer with you.

Both types will be tracked and displayed in the Driver Groups system within the Welcomer app.

3. Example Calculation of the Extra Rides Metric

If you have completed 60 eligible transfers, including 10 transfers booked by you and 15 transfers booked by travelers, your Extra Rides Metric will reflect 25 extra rides.

The Extra Rides Metric is calculated by dividing the number of extra rides by the total eligible transfers operated. Based on this example:

25 ÷ 60 × 100% = 42%

4. How is it Different from the Previous Return Rides Metric?

Previously, the Leaderboard system only tracked return transfers that you booked for travelers.

With the Extra Rides Metric, two key changes apply:

  • All transfers you book on behalf of the traveler now count toward your Extra Rides rate.

  • Additionally, any transfers booked independently by the driver will also be counted toward your performance in the Driver Groups system.

5. What Transfers Count Towards the Extra Rides Metric?

For a transfer to be considered eligible for the Extra Rides Metric, it must meet the following conditions:

  • The original transfer must be completed and operated by you.

Additionally, for a transfer to count towards your Extra Rides Metric:

  • It must be both booked and operated within 10 days of their initial one.

  • It must be in the same city as the initial transfer.

  • It must be for the same traveler who completed the first transfer.

  • If a traveler books multiple transfers within 10 days of the initial transfer with you, only one will be counted as an extra ride in your metrics.

6. How Can I Improve My Extra Rides Metric?

To improve your Extra Rides Metric, you can:

  • Provide a seamless and high-quality experience to encourage travelers to rebook.

  • Offer assistance with transfer booking if they haven’t booked one yet.

7. Driver App Updates

With the Extra Rides Metric now integrated into Driver Groups, you will see a new section in the app displaying:

  • The direct bookings you made for transfers.

  • The indirect bookings attributed to your performance, based on traveler bookings.
