What are Groups for Drivers?
Groups for Drivers are a way to rank and reward drivers in a city.
There are 3 Groups: Gold, Silver, and Bronze
Each driver can belong to only one group at any given week
Groups are refreshed every week, and group allocation is defined for one week only
The requirements for each metric for the Groups can be found in the driver app.
What are the differences among groups?
Gold group drivers can receive a higher number of personal requests compared to Silver and Bronze.
Gold group drivers also have access to the Golden List, where they can accept a limited number of transfers, in advance, before the hailing of the transfers starts.
Silver drivers can accept a higher number of personal requests compared to Bronze.
Bronze Drivers can accept the lowest amount of personal requests among the three groups.
Example of the differences among groups
However, if you are a Gold group driver, you should avoid massively accepting transfers from the Golden list and re-assign them to other drivers.
Why?
Accepted transfer from the Golden list will count towards your Acceptance Quotas (Daily or weekly limit of requests you can accept) * Acceptance Quota Article *
So, ensure that you only accept transfers that you can operate.
Remember that regardless of the group you are part of, you can accept unlimited: Broadcast Requests, Public Requests and Re-assignments from other drivers.
When is Group allocation defined?
Keep in mind that your performance today (current week) will define the group you will be part of in two weeks.
This means that you will always have a group assigned for the current week and the next week as well. For example:
Your performance in week 32 (Monday 4 - Sunday 10) will define your group for week 34
Your performance in week 33 (Monday 11 - Sunday 17) will define your group for week 35
Every Monday from 12 am to 12 pm we evaluate drivers' performance and at 12 pm we announce Group Allocations and give access to the Golden List.
How do I qualify to become a Gold group driver?
To qualify as a Gold group driver, you must consistently demonstrate top-tier performance across several key metrics that may vary by city. These include maintaining an exceptional review score, high acceptance and reliability rates, effective use of the driver app, and minimal flagged incidents. These criteria are tailored to meet the specific needs of each city to ensure the highest standards of service.
Review Score: Drivers must maintain a high average review score from travelers. Positive feedback reflects excellent service quality and professionalism.
Acceptance Rate: Drivers should accept a significant portion of the personal requests they receive. A high acceptance rate demonstrates reliability and willingness to cooperate with Welcome Pickups.
Reliability Rate: Drivers are expected to fulfill accepted transfer requests without removing them afterward. A high reliability rate indicates consistency and dependability in completing assigned transfers.
App Usage: Drivers should use our driver app correctly for managing transfer requests and navigation in order to enable smooth experience for the travelers.
Red Flags: Drivers should avoid behaviors that result in receiving flags, indicating issues such as misconduct, safety concerns, or violations of company policies. Minimizing flagged incidents demonstrates professionalism and adherence to standards.
Minimum required number of weekly operated transfers (applicable for maintaining the Gold group status): Drivers of the Golden group should remain engaged with the Welcome Pickups platform and operate a minimum amount of transfers.
Extra Rides Rate: Drivers should aim to increase their Extra Rides Rate by providing exceptional service that encourages travelers to book return transfers, either directly through them or independently. A higher Extra Rides Metric reflects strong trust and satisfaction with our service.

I was a Gold group driver last week, I operated all transfers with 5 star DRS but I lost my Gold status, how is it possible?
Gold status depends not only on high transfer ratings but also on consistently meeting all other performance metrics. Any decline in the following areas could affect your group status:
acceptance rate
reliability rate
app usage
flags
minimum required number of weekly operated transfers
extra rides
If I’m in Bronze group, will I receive any transfers or will I have 0 and all transfers will be operated by Gold and Silver group drivers?
To ensure a fair distribution of transfers among drivers, the number of transfers that Gold and Silver drivers will receive is limited by Acceptance Quota.
All drivers get equal access to all Broadcast and Public requests and re-assignments.
I am in Gold group, but another driver that is also in Gold group is receiving more transfers than me. Why?
Generally the two most important factors that play a role in distribution of personal requests are: drivers’ availability set in the app, group status (gold, silver or bronze), so all drivers within the Golden group with equal availability should be receiving an equal number of requests. However, it might happen that one driver has received more personal requests than another in a given day if there was not an even number of requests to be distributed between drivers. In that case, a driver with higher DRS will get priority in hailing.
Will I lose my Gold status if I don't handle Welcome Pickups transfers for a few days, a week, or more (e.g., due to sickness or travel)?
If you are a Gold group driver in week 1, you need to operate the minimum required number of transfers so that you can maintain your Gold status, while the rest of the performance metrics are also maintained on a high level. So if you didn’t reach the minimum number of transfers to be operated because of traveling or other reasons - you will not qualify to be in the Gold group the following week. But don’t worry, as next week you’ll be back in the Gold Group if you keep the metrics aligned with the Gold standards of your city.
